Lightfast additive having UV-absorbing moiety and ink composition including the same

A lightfast ink composition comprising;

• a colorant;
• an aqueous medium;
• and
• at least one benzophenone derivative of formula (1) below:
• wherein Y1 is one selected from the group consisting of a H, a OH, an N(R1)(R2), a SH, and a C1–C30 heteroalkyl group;
• each of Y2 and Y3 is independently selected from the group consisting of a H, a OH, an N(R1)(R2), a SH, a substituted or unsubstituted C1–C30 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1–C30 alkenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1–C30 alkynyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1–C30 heteroalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6–C30 aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C7–C30 arylalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3–C30 heteroaryl group, and a substituted or unsubstituted C4–C30 heteroarylalkyl group;
• R is selected from the group consisting of a substituted or unsubstituted C1–C30 alkylene group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1–C30 alkenylene group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1–C30 alkynylene group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1–C30heteroalkylene group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6–C30 arylene group, a substituted or unsubstituted C7–C30 arylenealkylene group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3–C30 heteroarylene group, and a substituted or unsubstituted C4–C30 heteroarylenealkylene group;
• X is a linker selected from the group consisting of —O—, —CO—, —NR1—, —N═N—, —S—, —C(═O)NR1—, —NR1C(═O)—, —SO2—, —SO3—, —COO—, —OCO—, —C(═S)—O—, —OC(═S)—, —CO—O—CO—, —CO—S—CO—, —CO—NR1—CO—, —C(═S)—O—C(═S)—, —C(═S)—S—C(═S)—, —C(═S)—NR1—C(═S)—, —O—P(═O)(OH)—O—, and —O—P(OH)—O—;
• Y is selected from the group consisting of a substituted or unsubstituted C1–C20 alkyl group having 1 to 10 hydroxyl groups, —N(R1)(R2), —NHN(R1)(R2), —(CH2)m—N(R1)(R2), a substituted or unsubstituted C2–C20 hydroxyalkyloxyalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3–C10 lactone group, a substituted or unsubstituted C3–C10 lactame group;
• a substituted or unsubstituted C3–C30 heteroaryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C4–C30 heteroarylalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6–C30 heteroarylalkenyl group, and a substituted or unsubstituted C3–C10 heterocycloalkyl group;
• and
• each of R1 and R2 is independently one of a hydrogen atom and a C1–C6 alkyl group;
• and
• m and n are independently integers from 0 to 6.
