Abstract
An image-forming apparatus and a power-saving mode control method thereof are disclosed. The power-saving mode control method for the image-forming apparatus includes calculating a lapsed time after the image-forming apparatus enters a power-saving mode, that is, a power-saving mode duration time Ts, and determining a cause of the power-saving mode being turned off, selecting a different warm-up mode depending on the cause of the power-saving mode being turned off and the power-saving mode duration time; and controlling warm-up operations to be performed according to the selected warm-up mode.
Claims12
A power-saving mode control method for an image-forming apparatus, comprising:
- calculating a lapsed time Ts after the image-forming apparatus enters a power-saving mode and determining a cause of the power-saving mode being turned off;
- selecting a different warm-up mode depending on the cause of the power-saving mode being turned off and the power-saving mode duration time;
- and
- controlling warm-up operations to be performed according to the selected warm-up mode.
An image-forming apparatus having a power-saving mode function, comprising:
- a counter for calculating a lapsed time after the image-forming apparatus enters a power-saving mode, that is, a power-saving mode duration time Ts;
- and
- a controller for determining a cause of the power-saving mode being turned off, selecting a different warm-up mode depending on the cause of the power-saving mode being turned off and the power-saving mode duration time, and controlling warm-up operations to be performed according to the selected warm-up mode.
