Abstract
An optical disc medium compares a track groove, along which main information is recorded. The track groove is divided into a plurality of blocks. The plurality of blocks each include a plurality of frames. The plurality of frames each include one shape of wobbles indicating sub information, among a plurality of prescribed shapes of wobbles. The plurality of blocks each have address information. The address information is represented by a string of at least one piece of sub information represented by the shape of wobbles of at least one of the plurality of frames.

An optical disc medium, comprising a track groove,
- wherein:
- the track groove is divided into a plurality of blocks,
- the plurality of blocks each include a plurality of frames,
- the plurality of frames each include a plurality of wobbles of one kind of prescribed wobble shape indicating sub information, among a plurality of kinds of prescribed wobble shapes,
- the plurality of blocks each have address information, and
- the address information is represented by a string of at least one piece of sub information represented by the shape of wobbles of at least one of the plurality of frames.
A reproduction apparatus for reproducing information recorded on an optical disc medium, wherein the optical disc medium includes a track groove, the track groove is divided into a plurality of blocks, the plurality of blocks each include a plurality of frames, the plurality of frames each include a plurality of wobbles of one kind of prescribed wobble shape indicating sub information, among a plurality of kinds of prescribed wobble shapes, the plurality of blocks each have address information, and the address information is represented by a string of at least one piece of sub information represented by the shape of wobbles of at least one of the plurality of frames, the reproduction apparatus comprising:
- a reading section for reading information from the track groove of the optical disc to generate a reproduction signal;
- and
- a sub information signal generating section for generating a sub information signal indicating the sub information based on the reproduction signal.
A reproduction method for reproducing information recorded on an optical disc medium, wherein the optical disc medium includes a track groove, the track groove is divided into a plurality of blocks, the plurality of blocks each include a plurality of frames, the plurality of frames each include a plurality of wobbles of one kind of prescribed wobble shape indicating sub information, among a plurality of kinds of prescribed wobble shapes, the plurality of blocks each have address information, and the address information is represented by a string of at least one piece of sub information represented by the shape of wobbles of at least one of the plurality of frames, the reproduction method comprising:
- reading information from the track groove of the optical disc to generate a reproduction signal;
- and
- generating a sub information signal indicating the sub information based on the reproduction signal.
A recording apparatus for recording information on an optical disc medium, wherein the optical disc medium includes a track groove, the track groove is divided into a plurality of blocks, the plurality of blocks each include a plurality of frames, the plurality of frames each include a plurality of wobbles of one kind of prescribed wobble shape indicating sub information, among a plurality of kinds of prescribed wobble shapes, the plurality of blocks each have address information, and the address information is represented by a string of at least one piece of sub information represented by the shape of wobbles of at least one of the plurality of frames, the recording apparatus comprising:
- a reading section for reading information from the track groove of the optical disc to generate a reproduction signal;
- a sub information signal generating section for generating a plurality of sub information signals based on the reproduction signal, each of the plurality of sub information signals indicating the sub information;
- an address information signal generating section for generating an address signal indicating the address information based on at least one of the plurality of sub information signals;
- and
- a recording section for recording information on the optical disc in accordance with the address information signal.
A recording method for recording information on an optical disc medium, wherein the optical disc medium includes a track groove, the track groove is divided into a plurality of blocks, the plurality of blocks each include a plurality of frames, the plurality of frames each include a plurality of wobbles of one kind of prescribed wobble shape indicating sub information, among a plurality of kinds of prescribed wobble shapes, the plurality of blocks each have address information, and the address information is represented by a string of at least one piece of sub information represented by the shape of wobbles of at least one of the plurality of frames, the recording method comprising:
- reading information from the track groove of the optical disc to generate a reproduction signal;
- generating a plurality of sub information signals based on the reproduction signal, each of the plurality of sub information signals indicating the sub information;
- generating an address signal indicating the address information based on at least one of the plurality of sub information signals;
- and
- recording information on the optical disc in accordance with the address information signal.
