Claims5
An outboard motor comprising:
- a four-stroke-cycle engine in which a crankshaft is vertically disposed and a cylinder block including cylinders and cylinder head is arranged and from which a drive shaft extends vertically downward in a state that the outboard motor is mounted to a hull through a bracket assembly;
- an oil pan disposed below the engine;
- an engine cover covering the engine and the oil pan;
- an intake system having an intake port formed to the cylinder head of the engine;
- an exhaust system having an exhaust port formed to the cylinder head of the engine;
- and
- a driving mechanism operatively connected to the drive shaft extending from the engine,
- wherein said oil pan is provided with a lubricating oil reservoir disposed at a front portion of the oil pan, and an exhaust passage and a cooling water passage are formed on a rear side of the lubricating oil reservoir and wherein the outboard motor is attached to the bracket assembly via an upper mount unit, and a mounting portion of the upper mount unit is formed to each of both side portions of the lubricating oil reservoir of the oil pan.
