Abstract

There is provided an air conditioning system and method for operating an air conditioner according to a user's physical response to external conditions. The air conditioning system includes: an indoor environment sensing unit/a personal characteristic value reception unit for measuring an indoor environment and the user's physical status so as to obtain information used to operate an air conditioner; a control unit including at least a microprocessor, for finding out personal characteristic values which are used to evaluate the user's physical status on the basis of information inputted from the personal characteristic value reception unit; and a driving unit controlled by the control unit, for promptly enhancing the user's physical status.

Dependent claims

An air conditioning system operating in accordance with a user's characteristics, comprising:

an indoor environment sensor and personal characteristic value receiver that measures an indoor environment and the user's physical status so as to obtain information to operate an air conditioner, said personal characteristic receiver measuring at least one of the user's heart rate and skin electrical activity amplitude so as to detect the user's physical status;
a controller including at least a microprocessor, that determines personal characteristic values, wherein the personal characteristic values are obtained by calculating individual weight values given according to the user's skin temperature, heart rate and skin electrical activity amplitude, the personal characteristic values being used to evaluate the user's physical status on the basis of information input from the personal characteristic value receiver;
and
a driving device controlled by the controller, that promptly enhances the user's physical status.
