Abstract
A tissue connecting device is provided. The device comprise an elongate delivery device having a lumen, a proximal end, and a distal end. The distal end is configured to engage tissue and advance said device into tissue. At least one anchor deliverable through a lumen of the elongate delivery device. The distal end of the device may be designed to engage tissue upon rotation of the device about its longitudinal axis.
Claims37
A tissue connecting device, the device comprising:
- an elongate delivery device having a lumen, a proximal end, and a distal end;
- wherein said distal end is configured to engage tissue and advance said device into tissue;
- at least one anchor deliverable through a lumen of said elongate delivery device;
- an elongate member deliverable to the target site via a guide catheter, said elongate member assuming a first substantially linear configuration while engaged with said guide catheter and a second substantially circular configuration defining a first support ring and a second support ring when removed from the guide catheter;
- said elongate member is slidably delivered along at least one suture coupled to said anchor;
- and
- wherein said delivery device is capable of piercing tissue through rotation of the delivery device about a longitudinal axis.
A tissue connecting device, the device comprising:
- an elongate delivery device having a lumen, a proximal end, and a distal end;
- wherein said distal end is configured to engage tissue and advance said device into tissue;
- at least one anchor deliverable through a lumen of said elongate delivery device;
- an elongate member deliverable to the target site via a guide catheter, said elongate member assuming a first substantially linear configuration while engaged with said guide catheter and a second substantially circular configuration defining a first support ring and a second support ring when removed from the guide catheter;
- said elongate member is slidably delivered along at least one suture coupled to said anchor;
- and
- wherein a helical configuration is laser cut at the distal end of the delivery device.
A tissue connecting device, the device comprising:
- an elongate delivery device having a lumen, a proximal end, and a distal end;
- wherein said distal end is configured to engage tissue and advance said device into tissue;
- at least one anchor deliverable through a lumen of said elongate delivery device;
- an elongate member deliverable to the target site via a guide catheter, said elongate member assuming a first substantially linear configuration while engaged with said guide catheter and a second substantially circular configuration defining a first support ring and a second support ring when removed from the guide catheter;
- said elongate member is slidably delivered along at least one suture coupled to said anchor;
- and
- wherein threads are formed on the distal end of the delivery device and adapted to engage tissue.
A tissue connecting device, the device comprising:
- an elongate delivery device having a lumen, a proximal end, and a distal end;
- wherein said distal end is configured to engage tissue and advance said device into tissue;
- at least one anchor deliverable through a lumen of said elongate delivery device;
- an elongate member deliverable to the target site via a guide catheter, said elongate member assuming a first substantially linear configuration while engaged with said guide catheter and a second substantially circular configuration defining a first support ring and a second support ring when removed from the guide said elongate member is slidably delivered along at least one suture coupled to said anchor;
- and
- wherein said at least one anchor has a helical configuration.
A tissue connecting device, the device comprising:
- an elongate delivery device having a lumen, a proximal end, and a distal end;
- wherein said distal end is configured to engage tissue and advance said device into tissue;
- at least one anchor deliverable through a lumen of said elongate delivery device;
- an elongate member deliverable to the target site via a guide catheter, said elongate member assuming a first substantially linear configuration while engaged with said guide catheter and a second substantially circular configuration defining a first support ring and a second support ring when removed from the guide catheter;
- said elongate member is slidably delivered along at least one suture coupled to said anchor;
- and
- wherein said anchor includes an eyelet for an anchor.
A tissue connecting device, the device comprising:
- an elongate delivery device having a lumen, a proximal end, and a distal end;
- wherein said distal end is configured to engage tissue and advance said device into tissue;
- at least one anchor deliverable through a lumen of said elongate delivery device wherein said at least one anchor has a suture coupled to a distal end of the anchor.
A tissue connecting device, the device comprising:
- an elongate delivery device having a lumen, a proximal end, and a distal end;
- wherein said distal end is configured to engage tissue and advance said device into tissue;
- at least one anchor deliverable through a lumen of said elongate delivery device.
- a plurality of anchors wherein each anchor is coupled together by a suture.
