Abstract
A switched reluctance machine includes a stator body having a stator pole. A bobbin is located on the stator pole. A stator winding is disposed on the bobbin. The switched reluctance machine further includes a first housing unit for receiving the stator body and an insulating member coupled to the first housing unit. The insulating member includes a first mounting element for engaging a first end of the bobbin to secure the bobbin against displacement during machine operation.

A switched reluctance machine comprising:
- a stator body having a stator pole;
- a bobbin located on the stator pole;
- a stator winding disposed on the bobbin;
- a first housing unit for receiving the stator body;
- an insulating member coupled to the first housing unit, the insulating member comprising a first mounting element for engaging a first end of the bobbin to secure the bobbin against displacement during machine operation;
- a second housing unit comprising a second mounting element for engaging a second end of the bobbin to secure the bobbin against displacement during machine operation;
- and
- a wire retainer located at the second end of the bobbin, wherein the wire retainer matingly engages the second mounting element located in the second housing unit during assembly.
A switched reluctance machine comprising:
