Apparatus for sterilizing objects comprising a flexible sterilization chamber, a microwave source for applying microwaves to objects inside the sterilization chamber and a safety device for preventing accidental emission of microwave radiation when the sterilization chamber is not closed, wherein the chamber is adapted to be folded or rolled up when not in use.
