Methods are disclosed for the treatment of nausea and vomiting in a patient suffering therefrom comprising administering 4-(2-fluorophenyl)-6-methyl-2-(1-piperazinyl)thieno[2,3-D]pyrimidine.

A method for the treatment of nausea and vomiting in a patient suffering therefrom, comprising administering to the patient an effective amount of 4-(2-fluorophenyl)-6-methyl-2-(1-piperazinyl)thieno[2,3-D]pyrimidine or a salt thereof.
A method for the treatment of chemotherapy- or radioactivity-induced emesis in a patient suffering therefrom, comprising administering to the patient an effective amount of 4-(2-fluorophenyl)-6-methyl-2-(1-piperazinyl)thieno[2,3-D]pyrimidine or a salt thereof.
