An ink ejection type printhead having a plurality of ink ejection devices and a central axis, the ink ejection devices arranged in a series of groups, each of the groups generally extending along non parallel lines, wherein a set of the devices are connected to a common supply of ink, wherein each set includes devices of more than one group, and wherein each set has a different ink supply to the other sets.
