Abstract
Cleavable compositions and methods of use especially in MALDI MS analysis of hydrophobic proteins.
Claims10
A compound of the following formula:
- wherein n is an integer from 1 to 12, R is —(CH2)0-19CH3, and R1, is —CH3,
A method for isolating a hydrophobic molecule, comprising:
- providing a plasma that has a hydrophobic molecule;
- applying a cleavable surfactant/detergent compound of the following formula:
- wherein n is an integer from 1 to 12, R is —(CH2)0-19CH3, and R1 is —CH3,
- cleaving the surfactant from the hydrophobic molecule;
- and
- analyzing said hydrophobic molecule with mass spectrometry.
