An image processing method for inputting photographic image data containing dot-matrix pixels and performing a conversion operation for pixels of said input image data, according to predetermined correspondence relationship information, so as to produce processed image data, the method comprising:

• providing correspondence relationships, including providing:
• correspondence relationship information, including a plurality of correspondence relationships which are applicable independently of each other, for conversion of said image data, and
• applicable object information including, for each correspondence relationship, a respective condition comprising information of a region of applicable pixels;
• producing a respective judgment for each of the pixels of the input image data, including a given pixel, wherein the judgment indicates whether the given pixel meets the respective condition of any of the correspondence relationships;
• and
• performing a conversion operation on the pixels of the input image data to produce the processed image data, wherein, for each given pixel, the conversion operation is performed using only any of the correspondence relationships indicated by said respective judgment.

An image processing method for inputting photographic image data containing dot-matrix pixels and performing a conversion operation for pixels of said input image data, according to predetermined correspondence relationship information, so as to produce processed image data, the method comprising:

• providing correspondence relationships, including providing:
• correspondence relationship information, including a plurality of correspondence relationships, for conversion of said image data, and
• applicable object information including, for each correspondence relationship, a respective condition comprising information of a region wherein each of the pixels belongs;
• producing a respective judgment for each of the pixels of the input image data, including a given pixel, wherein the judgment indicates whether the region information of the given pixel meets the respective condition of any of the correspondence relationships;
• and
• performing a conversion operation on the pixels of the input image data to produce the processed image data, wherein, for each given pixel, the conversion operation is performed using only any of the correspondence relationships indicated by said respective judgment.

A storage medium storing a control program for enabling a computer system to perform an image processing method for inputting photographic image data containing dot-matrix pixels and performing a conversion operation for pixels of said input image data, according to predetermined correspondence relationship information, so as to produce processed image data, the method comprising:

• providing correspondence relationships, including providing:
• correspondence relationship information, including a plurality of correspondence relationships which are applicable independently of each other, for conversion of said image data, and
• applicable object information including, for each correspondence relationship, a respective condition comprising information of a region of applicable pixels;
• producing a respective judgment for each of the pixels of the input image data, including a given pixel, wherein the judgment indicates whether the given pixel meets the respective condition of any of the correspondence relationships;
• and
• performing a conversion operation on the pixels of the input image data to produce the processed image data, wherein, for each given pixel, the conversion operation is performed using only any of the correspondence relationships indicated by said respective judgment.

A storage medium storing a control program for enabling a computer system to perform an image processing method for inputting photographic image data containing dot-matrix pixels and performing a conversion operation for pixels of said input image data, according to predetermined correspondence relationship information, so as to produce processed image data, the method comprising:

• providing correspondence relationships, including providing:
• correspondence relationship information, including a plurality of correspondence relationships, for conversion of said image data, and
• applicable object information including, for each correspondence relationship, a respective condition comprising information of a region wherein each of the pixels belongs;
• producing a respective judgment for each of the pixels of the input image data, including a given pixel, wherein the judgment indicates whether the region information of the given pixel meets the respective condition of any of the correspondence relationships;
• and
• performing a conversion operation on the pixels of the input image data to produce the processed image data, wherein, for each given pixel, the conversion operation is performed using only any of the correspondence relationships indicated by said respective judgment.
