Color display device

A color display device comprising:

• a color display having a reflective member or a diffuse transmission member provided on a display screen or in the vicinity of the display screen;
• signal processing means for processing a color image signal which is made up of plural color signals respectively indicating each gradation level of the plural colors, and for outputting a color image signal which has been processed to the color display,
• wherein:
• the signal processing means includes color conversion processing means for increasing a gradation level of a color signal having the highest gradation level, while decreasing a gradation level of a color signal having the lowest gradation level, when the gradation levels of the plural color signals are not equal one another.

A color display device comprising:

• a color plasma display;
• signal processing means for processing a color image signal which is made up of plural color signals respectively indicating each gradation level of the plural colors, and for outputting a color image signal which has been processed to the color plasma display,
• wherein:
• the signal processing means includes color conversion processing means for increasing a gradation level of a color signal having the highest gradation level, while decreasing a gradation level of a color signal having the lowest gradation level, when the gradation levels of the plural color signals are not equal one another.

A color display device comprising:

• a color field emission display;
• signal processing means for processing a color image signal which is made up of plural color signals respectively indicating each gradation level of the plural colors, and for outputting a color image signal which has been processed to the color field emission display,
• wherein:
• the signal processing means includes color conversion processing means for increasing a gradation level of a color signal having the highest gradation level, while decreasing a gradation level of a color signal having the lowest gradation level, when the gradation levels of the plural color signals are not equal one another.
