Abstract
A radar system and method use a radar FMCW chirp having variable chirp characteristics.
Claims8
An FMCW radar system, comprising:
- a radar chirp signal generator to generate a plurality radar chirp signals, each one of the radar chirp signals having a respective start frequency and a respective end frequency, each one of the radar chirp signals in a respective time window, and each one of the radar chirp signals starting at a respective time offset within the respective time window, wherein at least one of the radar chirp signals has at least one of a different time offset than other ones of the radar chirp signals and a different start frequency than other ones of the radar chirp signals.
A method of radar detection, comprising:
- generating a plurality of radar chirp signals, each one of the radar chirp signals having a respective start frequency and a respective end frequency, each one of the radar chirp signals in a respective time window, and each one of the radar chirp signals starting at a respective time offset within the respective time window, wherein at least one of the radar chirp signals has at least one of a different time offset than other ones of the radar chirp signals and a different start frequency than other ones of the radar chirp signals.
