Abstract
A method for calculating the location of a mobile user terminal in a wireless communication system, comprising the steps of: identifying a default sequence in which a plurality of location calculating methods should be executed to calculate said location; forming a new sequence by reordering said default sequence responsive to at least one system parameter; and executing at least one of said calculating methods in accordance with the new sequence to thereby calculate said location.

A method for calculating the location of a mobile user terminal in a wireless communication system, comprising the steps of:
- identifying a default sequence in which a plurality of location calculating methods should be executed to calculate said location;
- forming a new sequence by reordering said default sequence responsive to at least one system parameter;
- and
- executing at least one of said calculating methods in accordance with the new sequence to thereby calculate said location.
Apparatus arranged to calculate the location of a mobile user terminal in a communication system comprising:
- means to access a data store holding a plurality of calculating methods;
- means for receiving a signal identifying at least one system parameter and in response thereto reordering an identified default sequence of said plurality of calculating methods to thereby form a new sequence;
- and
- means for executing at least one of said calculating methods in accordance with said new sequence to thereby calculate the location of the user terminal.
