Abstract
The invention relates to compounds of formula (1) and to processes for the preparation of, intermediates used in the preparation of, compositions containing and the uses of, such derivatives. The compounds according to the present invention are useful in numerous diseases, disorders and conditions, in particular inflammatory, allergic and respiratory diseases, disorders and conditions.

A compound of the formula (1):
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein the CH2—C(═O)NH-benzyl-Q1-Q2-Q3-Q4 group is substituted on the meta or para position of the benzene ring to which it is attached;
- R1 and R2 are independently H or C1–C4 alkyl;
- Q1 is (CH2)n;
- Q2 is —C(═O)NH—, —NHC(═O)—, or —SO2NH—;
- Q3 is a single bond, C1–C4 alkylenyl optionally substituted with OH, or —(CH2)m—O—(CH2)p—;
- Q4 is
- * represents the attachment point to Q3;
- R3, R4, R5, R6 and R7 are independently H, C1–C4 alkyl, OR8, SR8, halo, CF3, OCF3, COOR9, SO2NR8R9, CONR8R9, NHR8R9, NHCOR9, or
- CH2NHC(═O)NHR9, provided at least 2 of R3, R4, R5, R6 and R7 are H;
- R8 is H or C1–C4 alkyl;
- R9 is H, C1–C4 alkyl, benzyl optionally substituted with 1, 2, 3 or 4 C1–C4 alkoxy, or
- n is 0 or 1;
- m and p are independently 1, 2 or 3;
- and
- q is 0, 1, 2 or 3.
