Abstract
A method of manufacturing a tampon applicator having a corrugated region, the method including the steps of: a) providing a tampon applicator having a first end, a second end, a length and a diameter; and b) forming a plurality of corrugations in the tampon applicator, the corrugations defining the corrugated region, each of the corrugations having a ridge and a trough.
Claims4
A method of manufacturing a tampon applicator having a corrugated region, said method comprising the steps of:
- a. providing a guide bushing;
- b. providing a tampon applicator having a first end, a second end, a length and a diameter;
- c. providing an inner dye gear;
- d. providing an outer dye gear;
- e. placing said tampon applicator over said inner dye gear;
- and
- f. rotating said inner dye gear and said outer dye gear to form a plurality of corrugations in said tampon applicator, said corrugations defining said corrugated region, each of said corrugations having a ridge and a trough.
