Abstract
A method and device for controlling an internal combustion engine in which a first variable characterizing the pressure in the combustion chamber of at least one cylinder in the internal combustion engine is detected by at least one sensor. A second variable is determined on the basis of the first variable. Features which are assigned to different partial injections are obtained by forming the difference within the second variable.
Claims9
A method for controlling an internal combustion engine, comprising:
- detecting via at least one sensor a first variable characterizing a pressure in a combustion chamber of at least one cylinder of the internal combustion engine;
- determining a second variable on the basis of the first variable;
- and
- obtaining features that are assigned to different partial injections by forming a difference in the second variable;
- wherein the features characterize previous actual injection amounts of the different partial injections.
A device for controlling an internal combustion engine, comprising:
- an arrangement for detecting via at least one sensor a first variable characterizing a pressure in a combustion chamber of at least one cylinder of the internal combustion engine;
- an arrangement for determining a second variable on the basis of the first variable;
- and
- an arrangement for obtaining features that are assigned to different partial injections by forming a difference in the second variable;
- wherein the features characterize previous actual injection amounts of the different partial injections.
