Abstract
A permanent magnet comprises a hard magnetic material that contains at least a rare earth element and an anti-ferromagnetic material, wherein the hard magnetic material and the anti-ferromagnetic material are magnetically coupled. A volume ratio of the anti-ferromagnetic material is 20% or less, based on the permanent magnet.
Claims18
A permanent magnet which is made of a sintered product of a powder mixture of a hard magnetic material that contains a rare earth element and an anti-ferromagnetic material, anti-ferromagnetic material is formed in the grain boundaries between grains of the hard magnetic material, wherein the hard magnetic material and the anti-ferromagnetic material are magnetically coupled, and wherein a volume ratio of the anti-ferromagnetic material is 20% or less, based on the permanent magnet.
A permanent magnet made of a sintered product of a powder mixture of a hard magnetic material containing a rare earth element and an anti-ferromagnetic material which is made of an oxide having a Neél temperature higher than a use temperature of the permanent magnet with the anti-ferromagnetic material being present in the grain boundaries between grains of the hard magnetic material.
