Compounds and methods for inhibiting MRP1

A compound of formula I:

• wherein:
• R1 is hydrogen,
• C1–C4 alkyl optionally substituted 1 time with a hydroxy group,
• (CH2)nC(O)R2, (C1–C4 alkyl)NH2, (CH2)nNHC(O)R3,
• (C1–C4 alkyl optionally substituted 1 time with a hydroxy group)-phenyl optionally substituted 1 or 3 times independently with a C1–C6 alkyl, C1–C4 alkoxy, halo, benzyl, phenyl, trifluoromethoxy, nitro, or an oxo group, or
• n is 0, 1, or 2;
• p is 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4;
• R2 is C1–C4 alkoxy, hydroxy,
• (C1–C4 alkyl optionally substituted 1 time with a hydroxy group)-phenyl optionally substituted 1 or 3 times independently with a C1–C6 alkyl, C1–C4 alkoxy, halo, benzyl, phenyl, trifluoromethoxy, nitro, or an oxo group;
• NHR4, or
• R3 is C1–C4 alkoxy,
• phenyl optionally substituted 1 or 3 times independently with a C1–C6 alkyl, C1–C4 alkoxy, halo, beazyl, phenyl, trifluoromethoxy, nitro, or an oxo group,
• (C1–C4 alkyl optionally substituted 1 time with a bydroxy group)-phenyl optionally substituted 1 or 3 times independently with a C1–C6 alkyl, C1–C4 alkoxy, halo, benzyl, phenyl, trifluoromethoxy, nitro, or an oxo group, or
• R4 is (CH2)p-phenyl optionally substituted 1 or 3 times independently with a C1–C6 alkyl, C1–C4 alkoxy, halo, benzyl, phenyl, trifluoromethoxy, nitro, or an oxo group, or
• or a pharmaceutical salt thereof.
