A building material is formed from a specific composition containing a phosphoric ester compound represented by the following formulae (8)-c and (8)-d and copper ions, in a resin plate.

A building material comprising a phosphoric ester compound represented by the following formula (1):
- (wherein, R is a group represented by the following formula (2) or (3):
- n is 1 or 2, and when n is 1, R may be identical or different, wherein, R1, R2 and R3 are each independently a halogen atom or a substituent group having 1 to 40 carbon atoms, this substituent group may or may not contain unsaturated bonds, k is an integer of 1 to 5, m is an integer of 1 to 3, and p is an integer of 1 to 4, and when k, m or p is 2 or more, R1, R2 and R3 may be mutually identical or different), and a copper ion.
