Abstract
Detergent composition comprising fusion protein comprising a cellulose binding domain and a domain having a high binding affinity for another ligand. Preferably, the domain having a high binding affinity is directed at a Benefit Agent.
Claims8
Detergent composition comprising:
- a) a surfactant;
- and
- b) a fusion protein comprising a cellulose binding domain and a domain having a high binding affinity for another ligand, with chemical equilibrium constant KD for binding between the domain having the high binding activity and the ligand being lower than 10−4M,
- wherein the domain having a high binding affinity is an antibody or antibody fragment and,
- wherein the domain having a high binding affinity binds to one of the following:
- a benefit agent selected from the group consisting of softening agents, finishing agents/protective agents, fragrances, bleaching agents and dyes, a fabric, a specific part of the fabric, or micro-particles which are loaded with a benefit agent.

Process for delivering a benefit agent to a fabric by treating the fabric with a composition comprising:
- a) a fusion protein comprising a cellulose binding domain and a domain having a high binding affinity for another ligand, with chemical equilibrium constant KD for binding between the domain having the high binding activity and the ligand being lower than 10−4M,
- wherein the domain having a high binding affinity is an antibody or antibody fragment and,
- wherein the domain having a high binding affinity binds to one of the following:
- a benefit agent, a fabric, a specific part of the fabric, or micro-particles which are loaded with a benefit agent:
- and
- b) a benefit agent selected from the group consisting of softening agents, finishing agents/protective agents, fragrances and bleaching agents.
