Abstract
The present invention relates to the use of antibodies against glucose-6-phosphate isomerase and like protein for diagnosis of arthritis and the use of said protein for treatment of arthritis. It is also aimed at a process for isolating monoclonal antibodies capable of transferring arthritis and antibodies thereof, as well as a method for determining the anti-arthritic potential of a composition.
Claims4
A method for determining the anti-arthritic potential of a composition by administering said composition to an arthritic animal and evaluating the effect on the arthritic process, wherein the arthritic animal is compared to an arthritic control animal, wherein the arthritic control animal receives no potential anti-arthritic composition and wherein the arthritis of the arthritic animal and the arthritic control animal has been induced by injection of antibodies against GPI proteins or of serum from arthritic K/B×N transgenic mice or fractions thereof.
