An optical fiber cable comprising:

• an optical fiber;
• and
• a cover layer formed on the outer periphery of the optical fiber, said cover layer comprising at less three covering layers, wherein
• said at least three covering layers are made of materials comprising a resin component containing a polyamide polymer,
• a difference in flexural modulus between a covering layer having the highest flexural modulus and a covering layer having the lowest flexural modulus, among the three covering layers is not more than 500 MPa, and
• the materials that constitutes at least one layer among the three covering layers further comprises a flame retardant, and
• the three covering layers satisfy the following expressions (8) and (9):
• d1×E1+d2×E2≦d3×E3 (8)
• d1+d2≦d3 (9)
• wherein E1, E2 and E3 denote flexural modulus of the covering layers in order from the inside respectively and d1, d2 and d3 denote thickness of the covering layers in-order from the inside respectively.
