Abstract
This invention relates to a fabric care composition comprising a thermoplastic elastomer and a textile compatible carrier, a method of treating fabric with such a composition as part of a laundering process and the use of a thermoplastic elastomer or a composition comprising a thermoplastic elastomer to improve the crease recovery properties and/or elasticity and/or shape retention of a fabric.
Claims18
A fabric care composition comprising:
- a) a thermoplastic elastomer which is a block copolymer comprising a core polymer which is a polymer of (2-methoxyethyl) acrylate, and two or more flanking polymers, wherein the flanking polymers are polymers of a C1-4 alkyl methacrylate, each flanking polymer being covalently bound to an end of the core polymer, wherein the copolymer is soluble at a level of at least 1% by weight in water or aqueous ethanol at 25° C.;
- b) 10 to 70% by weight of a builder or from 8 to 50% of a substantially water insoluble quaternary ammonium compound;
- and
- c) a textile compatible carrier.
