A pagewidth inkjet printhead includes an elongate support structure. A plurality of substantially identical printhead modules are mounted on the support structure in a contiguous orientation. Each printhead module includes an elongate printhead chip having a plurality of nozzle arrangements and defining a plurality of ink inlets in fluid communication with respective nozzle arrangements. An ink distribution assembly defines an elongate recess on one side in which the printhead chip is mounted, and a number of ink distribution conduits that converge from an opposite side to communicate with respective ink inlets of the printhead chip. An elongate ink feed member includes at least one longitudinally extending ink feed passage and a plurality of transverse openings in fluid communication with the ink feed passage and with respective ink distribution conduits in the ink distribution assembly.
