Abstract
A rotating table apparatus using a cam mechanism and having a higher precision than a conventional rotating table is realized. A rotating table apparatus having a driven shaft supported by a housing and driven by a driving device, and a rotating table which is rotatingly driven by said driven shaft using a cam and cam followers, wherein the rotating table apparatus has an opposing surface which opposes an end surface of the rotating table in a direction along a rotation shaft of said rotating table, and oil is intervened in between the opposing surface and said end surface.
Claims10
A rotating table apparatus comprising:
- a housing having a gap;
- a rotating table rotating with respect to said housing, an end surface of said rotating table opposing an opposing surface of said housing, a space being provided between said end surface and said opposing surface;
- a cam and cam followers gearing with each other in said gap and transmitting a drive force for rotating to said rotating table;
- oil contained in said gap for lubricating said cam and said cam followers, a portion of said oil flowing from said gap into said space, said portion of oil in said space being for damping oscillation of said rotating table;
- and
- a seal and an O-ring provided between said housing and said rotating table for preventing said oil from leaking.
