Abstract
A method of controlling the torque of a multiphase induction motor includes the step of energizing the stator windings of the motor from a power converter using thyristors, inserted between a multiphase main supply and the windings producing a stator current set point expressed by its amplitude and its phase, predicting phase coincidences between the stator current and the set point, and commanding the power converteer so that the windings receive current waves substantially when such coincidences occur.
Claims12
A method of controlling torque of a multiphase induction motor, the method consisting of energizing stator windings of said motor from a controller type power converter using thyristors, inserted between a multiphase main supply (V1, V2, V3) and said windings (S1, S2, S3), said method comprising steps of:
- producing a stator current set point expressed in terms of amplitude (Is*) and phase (α*) referred to rotor flux as a function of independent parameters (C*, Φr*) representative of the required torque and flux,
- predicting phase coincidence between said stator current and said set point, and
- commanding (8) said controller so that the windings receive current waves when such coincidences occur within a predefined tolerance range.
