Abstract
The present invention is directed to novel polypeptides and to nucleic acid molecules encoding those polypeptides. Also provided herein are vectors and host cells comprising those nucleic acid sequences, chimeric polypeptide molecules comprising the polypeptides of the present invention fused to heterologous polypeptide sequences, antibodies which bind to the polypeptides of the present invention and to methods for producing the polypeptides of the present invention.
Claims15
An isolated nucleic acid encoding a polypeptide having at least 80% sequence identity to:
- (a) the amino acid sequence of the polypeptide of SEQ ID NO:227;
- (b) the amino acid seciuence of the polypeptide of SEQ ID NO:227, lacking its associated signal peptide;
- (c) the amino acid sequence of the polypeptide encoded by the full-length coding sequence of the nucleic acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:226;
- or
- (d) the amino acid sequence of the polypeptide encoded by the full-length coding sequence of the eDNA deposited under ATCC accession number 203269,
- wherein the encoded polypeptide induces chondrocyte re-differentiation.
An isolated nucleic acid comprising:
- (a) a nucleic acid sequence encoding the polypeptide of SEQ ID NO:227;
- (b) a nucleic acid sequence encoding the polypeptide of SEQ ID NO:227, lacking its associated signal peptide;
- (c) the nucleic acid sequence shown in FIG. 129 (SEQ ID NO:226);
- (d) the full-length coding sequence of the nucleic acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:226;
- or
- (e) the full-length coding sequence of the cDNA deposited under ATCC accession number 203269.
