Abstract
A leak test arrangement having a leak calibration device is disclosed. The calibration device is connected into communication with the leak test arrangement and provides a controlled source (sink) of fluid at a predetermined amount. The calibration includes a substantially sealed volume of fluid in fluid communication with the test arrangement and a control arrangement for heating and/or cooling the volume to produce the source (sink) of the calibrator.
Claims25
In a calibration arrangement for use with a test system for detecting leaks in devices, a combination comprising:
- a test apparatus comprising apparatus for testing the fluid properties of a fluid in a testing conduit connected to the device;
- a reference source cell comprising a substantially sealed fixed volume and having an outlet conduit in fluid communication with the testing conduit;
- and
- a control apparatus for controlling the temperature of the reference source cell volume to produce a controlled fluid inflow or fluid outflow with the testing conduit.
