Abstract
The present invention provides a process for producing plastic lenses, which are transparent, less colored, are not remarkably deteriorated in basic physical properties such as mechanical strength and impact resistance, and have higher refractive index and Abbe's number, and plastic lenses.

Process for producing a plastic lens, which comprises mixing a) a prepolymer obtainable by reacting a polyisocyanate compound and a polythiol compound in an epithio group-containing compound with b) a mixture comprising sulfur having a purity of 98% or more, from which impurities having a boiling point of 120° C. or lower have substantially been removed, in an epithio group-containing compound and c) a catalyst.
Plastic lens comprising sulfur having a purity of 98% or more, from which impurities having a boiling point of 120° C. or lower have substantially been removed.
