Abstract
A flowering regulator comprising a compound represented by the following formula (I): wherein R1 represents a lower alkyl group, a lower alkenyl group, or a phenyl group which may be substituted, R2 represents a lower alkyl group or a phenyl group which may be substituted, and R3 represents a phenyl group which may be substituted (e.g., 4-(4-chlorophenyl)-2-phenyl-3-(1,2,4-triazoyl)butan-2-ol), or a salt thereof.

A method of accelerating the flowering of a plant, wherein the method comprises treating the plant with at least one compound which is represented by the following formula (I):
- wherein R1 represents a lower alkyl group, a lower alkenyl group, or a phenyl group which may be substituted, R2 represents a lower alkyl group or a phenyl group which may be substituted, and R3 represents a phenyl group which may be substituted, or a salt thereof, the treating including applying the compound to the plant to obtain flowering accelerating action.
