Abstract
The present invention relates to an improved pharmaceutical composition useful for the topical treatment of burns, cuts, wounds, abrasions and the like, and to methods of treatment of injured body surfaces such as skin.

Method for topical treatment of full thickness skin loss including the step of topical application thereto of a composition comprising, per 100 parts by weight, from 15 to 30 parts by weight of a glycol;
- from 1 to 4 parts by weight of a cellulose derivative;
- and from 0.5 to 10 parts by weight of a water soluble aluminum salt.
