Creped and imprinted web

A soft tissue comprising:

• a creped nonwoven base web comprising a first side and a second side, said base web containing pulp fibers;
• a crepe pattern formed on said base web;
• a first fabric-imprinted pattern, wherein said first fabric-imprinted pattern is superimposed upon said crepe pattern on said first side of said base web, said first fabric-imprinted pattern comprising high density troughs that extend in either a machine direction or a diagonal direction, wherein said high density troughs are separated by about 3 mm to about 4 mm in the machine direction, and wherein said high density troughs are separated by about 2 mm to about 3 mm in the diagonal direction;
• and
• wherein said soft tissue has a caliper greater than about 250 microns.

A paper product comprising:

• a creped nonwoven base web comprising a first side and a second side, said base web containing pulp fibers;
• a crepe pattern formed on said base web;
• and
• a first fabric-imprinted pattern, wherein said first fabric-imprinted pattern is superimposed upon said crepe pattern on said first side of said base web, said first fabric-imprinted pattern comprising high density troughs that extend in a machine direction and in a diagonal direction;
• and
• wherein said base web has a bulk greater than about 8.5 cc/gram, a caliper greater than about 250 microns, and a geometric mean tensile strength of greater than about 250 g/in.
