Abstract
A tampon pledget having a top end, a bottom end, a first side end, a second side end, and a central portion between the first side end and the second side end. A first cord and a second cord are attached to the central portion. The first cord and the second cord lie in parallel planes.

A tampon pledget comprising:
- a top end, a bottom end, a first side end, a second side end, and a central portion between said first side end and said second side end,
- said central portion has a first cord and a second cord, said first cord and said second cord lie in parallel planes, and
- a thread sewn through said first cord, said second cord, and said pledget.
A tampon pledget comprising:
- a top end, a bottom end, a first side end, a second side end, and a central portion between said first side end and said second side end,
- said central portion has a first cord and a second cord, said first cord and said second cord lie in parallel planes,
- a thread sewn through said first cord, said second cord, and said pledget,
- said first cord and said second cord having an attached portion and a tail portion, said attached portion lying between said top end and said bottom end, said tail portion extending beyond said bottom end.
