A feminine hygiene pad having a wider absorbent pad portion, a narrow absorbent pad portion extending from said wider absorbent pad portion, each pad portion having a corresponding length and width, said narrow absorbent pad portion having a maximum width less than about one half of the minimum width of said wider absorbent pad portion and the length about twice the length of said wider absorbent pad portion.

• each said forward pad portion and said rear portion being of partially rounded generally rectangular shape;
• said forward pad having a minimum width at least twice the maximum width of said rear portion;
• said forward pad portion being at least one and one half times longer than said rear pad portion.
