Method and device for treatment of a gas flow

A method for treating a gas flow, comprising:

• guiding a gas flow through a gas treatment unit that is adapted for filtering particles from said gas flow thereby eliminating said particles in said gas treatment unit;
• filtering particles from said gas flow by accumulating said particles in at least one duct that forms part of said gas treatment unit during passage of said gas flow therethrough;
• controlling the temperature of said gas flow along said at least one duct to a value that causes combustion of said particles;
• and
• eliminating filtered particles in said gas treatment unit by combustion in said at least one duct, wherein said temperature control of said gas flow takes part by means of exchange of heat between said plurality of ducts, wherein said ducts are connected to an inlet and an outlet of the gas treatment unit so that the gas flow undergoes an exchange of heat between incoming and outgoing flows of said gas.
