LPA receptor agonists and antagonists and methods of use

A compound according to formula (I)

• wherein
• X1 is (HO)2PO-Z1-;
• X2 and X3 are both R1R2N -A- with each being the same or different
• Z1 is —O(CH2)m— with m being an integer from 1 to 50, or —O—;
• Q1 and Q2 are independently H2, ═NR4, ═O, or a combination of H and —NR5R6;
• R1 at X2 is a straight or branched-chain C1 to C30 alkyl, a straight or branched-chain C2 to C30 alkenyl, or an acyl including a C1 to C30 alkyl or an aromatic or heteroaromatic ring
• R1 at X3 is hydrogen, a straight or branched-chain C1 to C30 alkyl, a straight or branched-chain C2 to C30 alkenyl, or an acyl including a C1 to C30 alkyl or an aromatic or heteroaromatic ring;
• and
• R2, R4, R5, and R6 are independently hydrogen, a straight or branched-chain C1 to C30 alkyl, a straight or branched-chain C2 to C30 alkenyl, an aromatic or heteroaromatic ring with or without mono-, di-, or tri-substitutions of the ring, an acyl including a C1 to C30 alkyl or aromatic or heteroaromatic ring, an arylalkyl including straight or branched-chain C1 to C30 alkyl, or an aryloxyalkyl including straight or branched-chain C1 to C30 alkyl;
• wherein when R2 at X2 is H and O2 is ═O, R1 is a straight chain C10 to C18 alkyl group.
