Abstract
A lyophilizate, method of preparation, and use of the lyophilizate for gonad protection is described. The lyophilizate comprises cetrorelix dissolved in 30% (v/v) acetic acid, transferred to water, and freeze-dried.
Claims2
A method for providing male gonad protection against radiation therapy or treatment with cytostatics, the method comprising administering to a male an effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition comprising a diluent and a lyophilizate of cetrorelix solution in which the lyophilizate was prepared from 100-10,000 parts by weight of acetic acid per part of dissolved cetrorelix;
- wherein said pharmaceutical composition is administered prior to radiation therapy or treatment with cytostatics.
