Abstract
A liquid detergent composition contains greater than 5% by weight of surfactant and an encapsulate containing greater than 10% by weight of active material in a hydrated cross-linked anionic gum matrix. The anionic gum is preferably an alginate. The active material is preferably a fragrance. The detergent composition is particularly suitable for use as a laundry liquid.
Claims17
A liquid detergent composition comprising at least 5% by weight of surfactant and an encapsulate comprising greater than 10% by weight of the encapsulate of active material dispersed in a hydrated cross-linked anionic gum matrix.
A liquid detergent composition comprising at least 5% by weight of surfactant and an encapsulate comprising greater than 0.5% by weight of the encapsulate of fragrance, in a hydrated cross-linked anionic gum matrix.
A laundry liquid comprising at least 5% by weight of surfactant and an encapsulate comprising active material in a hydrated cross-linked anionic gum matrix.
A liquid detergent composition comprising from 10 to 30% by weight of surfactant and an encapsulate comprising from 25 to 30% by weight of the encapsulate of active material dispersed in a hydrated cross-linked anionic gum matrix, the surfactant being selected anionic, nonionic, amphoteric, zwitterionic surfactants and mixtures thereof, the active material comprises a fragrance, the anionic gum is present in an amount of up to 1% by weight of the encapsulate and is selected from the group consisting of alginate, carageenan, gellan gum, carboxymethyl cellulose and xanthan gum.
