Abstract
A process for the electrochemical production of peroxo-disulfuric acid and peroxo-disulfates is provided. In the process, an anode having a partially pre-polarized electrode which has been provided with a doped diamond layer is used.
Claims30
A process for the electrochemical production of peroxo-disulphuric acid and peroxo-disulphates by the electrochemical oxidation of sulfuric acid, comprising the step of:
- using an electrode coated with a doped diamond layer.
A method of using an electrode for the electrochemical production of peroxo-disulfuric acid and peroxo-disulfates, the method comprising:
- using an electrode coated with a doped diamond layer.
A cell for producing peroxo-disulfuric acid and peroxo-disulfates, the cell comprising:
- a housing;
- an electrode coated with a doped diamond layer, the electrode having a substantially hydrogenated surface;
- a counter-electrode having a substantially hydrogenated surface;
- and
- a sulfuric acid electrolyte;
- wherein the electrode and counter-electrode are arranged in the housing.
