Abstract
There is disclosed a pneumatic tire having a rubberized component comprising: (a) 100 parts by weight of at least one rubber containing olefinic unsaturation; and (b) 1 to 110 phr of a polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes.

A pneumatic tire having a rubber component made from a rubber composition comprising
- (A) 100 parts by weight of at least one rubber containing olefinic unsaturation, said at least one rubber comprising a carboxylated rubber selected from the group consisting of carboxylated styrene butadiene rubber, carboxylated polybutadiene, and carboxylated polyisoprene;
- and
- (B) 1 to 110 phr of a polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes having a reactive functionality selected from the group consisting of alcohol, phenol, and amine functionalities.
A pneumatic tire having a rubber component made from a rubber composition comprising
- (A) 100 parts by weight of at least one rubber containing olefinic unsaturation, said at least one rubber comprising a carboxylated rubber selected from the group consisting of carboxylated styrene butadiene rubber, carboxylated polybutadiene, and carboxylated polyisoprene;
- (B) 1 to 110 phr of a polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes having a reactive functionality selected from the group consisting of alcohol, phenol, and amine functionalities;
- (C) 20 to 250 phr of a filler selected from silica and carbon black;
- and
- (D) 0.5 to 20phr of a sulfur containing organosilicon compound of the formula
- Z-Alk-Sn-Alk-Z (I)
- in which Z is selected from the group consisting of
- where R1 is an alkyl group of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, cyclohexyl or phenyl;
- R2 is alkoxy of 1 to 8 carbon atoms, or cycloalkoxy of 5 to 8 carbon atoms;
- Alk is a divalent hydrocarbon of 1 to 18 carbon atoms and n is an integer of 2 to 8.
