Abstract
An image forming unit is detachably mountable to a main body of an image forming apparatus and includes a first unit including an image bearing member, and a second unit including an intermediate transfer member to which is transferred a toner image on the image bearing member. The toner image on the intermediate transfer member is transferred to a recording material, and at least either of the first and second units is detachable from and attachable to the image forming unit.

An image forming unit detachably mountable to a main body of an image forming apparatus, said image forming unit comprising:
- a first unit including an image bearing member;
- and
- a second unit including an intermediate transfer member to which a toner image on said image bearing member is transferred,
- wherein the toner image on said intermediate transfer member is transferred to a recording material,
- wherein said image forming unit is completely separable from the main body in a state in which said first unit and said second unit are connected to each other, and
- wherein at least either of said first and second units is attachable to and detachable from said image forming unit.

- an image forming unit detachably mountable to a main body of said image forming apparatus,
- wherein said image forming unit comprises:
- a first unit including an image bearing member;
- and
- a second unit including an intermediate transfer member to which a toner image on said image bearing member is transferred,
- wherein the toner image on said intermediate transfer member is transferred to a recording material,
- wherein said image forming unit is completely detachable from said main body, wherein said first unit and said second unit are connected to each other during complete detachment of said image forming unit from said main body, and

- wherein said image forming unit is completely detachable from said main body, wherein said first unit and said second unit are connected to each other during complete detechment of said image forming unit from said main body.
