Abstract
A resistor and a capacitor are provided for a variable impedance element which performs distortion compensation of a power amplifier. Thus, compensation of amplitude-amplitude distortion and amplitude-phase distortion can be separately adjusted. As a result, distortion of the power amplifier can be reduced effectively and a highly efficient operation is made possible.
Claims5
A communication device, comprising:
- a power amplifier having a distortion compensating circuit compensating for distortion of a power amplification element,
- a voltage supply means supplying a voltage to said power amplifier, and
- a control circuit controlling the output voltage of said voltage supply means in response to a power level of a signal input to said power amplifier or a power level of a signal output from said power amplifier, and adjusting the distortion compensation amount of the distortion compensation circuit based on the output voltage of said voltage supply means.
