Abstract
In multimetal cyanide complexes, more than 30% by weight of the primary particles have a platelet-like habit, i.e. the length and width of the primary particles is at least three times the thickness of the particles.
Claims6
A process for preparing polyetherols having a molar mass of from 500 to 50,000 daltons and a functionality of from 1 to 8 by ring-opening polymerization of alkylene oxides in the presence of catalysts, wherein the catalysts used are multimetal cyanide complexes comprising more than 30 percent by weight of primary particles which have a platelet-like shape, meaning the lenth and width of the primary particles is at least three times the thickness of the primary particles.
