Abstract
Novel 3-(2-aminopropyl)-H-indol-5-ols useful for lowering and controlling IOP and treating glaucoma are disclosed.
Claims5
A method for lowering and controlling normal or elevated intraocular pressure in a patient in need thereof which comprises administering a pharmaceutically effective amount of a compound of the formula:
- wherein G is chosen from hydrogen, halogen or C1-4alkyl;
- R is chosen from C3-6alkyl, C3-6alkyl substituted with hydroxyl, CO(OC1-4alkyl), CON(C1-4alkyl)2, or C2-4alkenyl substituted by phenyl;
- R1 is chosen from hydrogen C1-4alkyl;
- and pharmaceutically acceptable salts and solvates.
