Abstract
The invention relates to a process for the preparation of π-conjugated polymers by (1) complexing a monomeric compound with a cyclodextrin, and (2) polymerizing the complexed compound using a chemical oxidant.

A process for the preparation of π-conjugated polymers comprising
- (1) complexing a monomeric compound with a cyclodextrin, and
- (2) polymerizing the complexed compound using a chemical oxidant or electrochemical polymerization;
- wherein the monomeric compound is pyrrole or 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene.
