Abstract
A recording medium includes a lead-in area which includes a control data area and an information data area in which information data is to be recorded. In this recording medium, a groove track in the control data area is divided into a plurality of mark portions and space portions based on a frequency band of a recording RF signal.

A recording medium comprising:
- a lead-in area which includes a control data area;
- and
- an information data area in which information data is to be recorded,
- wherein a groove track in the control data area is divided into a plurality of mark portions and space portions based on a frequency band of a recording RF signal.
