Abstract
A floral sleeve sized to fit about a flower pot or floral grouping. The sleeve has a base with side gussets and optionally bottom gussets for allowing expansion from a flattened position to an opened position. The sleeve may comprise a detachable upper portion, and a skirt portion. The sleeve is preferably secured about a pot or floral grouping via a banding element.
Claims58
A method of containing a pot or a floral grouping, comprising:
- providing a preformed sleeve initially having a flattened condition prior to being opened for use, and having an upper end, a lower end, a first side, a second side, a first panel and a second panel, the preformed sleeve having a tapered shape, and having an expansion element in each of the first side and the second side;
- opening the preformed sleeve from the flattened condition by expanding the expansion elements in the preformed sleeve forming an opened sleeve;
- disposing a pot or a floral grouping within the opened sleeve;
- and
- securing the opened sleeve about the pot or floral grouping with a banding element.
A method of containing a pot or floral grouping, comprising:
- providing a preformed sleeve initially having a flattened condition prior to being opened for use, and having an upper end, a lower end, a first side, a second side, a first panel and a second panel, the preformed sleeve having an expansion element in each of the first side, and the second side, and the preformed sleeve further comprising a detachable upper portion;
- opening the sleeve from the flattened condition by expanding the expansion elements in the preformed sleeve forming an opened sleeve;
- disposing a pot or floral grouping within the opened sleeve;
- and
- securing the opened sleeve about the pot or floral grouping with a banding element.
A plant package comprising a preformed sleeve and a pot or a floral grouping, the plant package produced by the method comprising:
- providing a preformed sleeve initially having a flattened condition prior to being opened for use, and having an upper end, a lower end, a first side, a second side, a first panel and a second panel, the preformed sleeve having a tapered shape, and having an expansion element in each of the first side and the second side;
- opening the preformed sleeve from the flattened condition by expanding the expansion elements in the preformed sleeve forming an opened sleeve;
- disposing a pot or a floral grouping within the opened sleeve;
- and
- securing the opened sleeve about the pot or floral grouping with a banding element.
A plant package comprising a preformed sleeve and a pot or floral grouping, the plant package produced by the method comprising:
- providing a preformed sleeve initially having a flattened condition prior to being opened for use, and having an upper end, a lower end, a first side, a second side, a first panel and a second panel, the preformed sleeve having an expansion element in each of the first side, and the second side, and the preformed sleeve further comprising a detachable upper portion;
- opening the sleeve from the flattened condition by expanding the expansion elements in the preformed sleeve forming an opened sleeve;
- disposing a pot or floral grouping within the opened sleeve;
- and
- securing the opened sleeve about the pot or floral grouping with a banding element.
