Abstract
A stent consisting of at least two parts in juxtaposition, one part being of self-expandable characteristics while the other part is balloon expandable.
Claims15
A stent delivery assembly comprising a catheter, a balloon located at the distal end of the catheter, a stent disposed about the balloon, wherein at least one end of the stent extends beyond the length of the balloon, the stent having at least one end portion that is self-expanding.
A stent delivery assembly comprising:
- a catheter with a balloon located at the distal end thereof;
- a stent disposed about the balloon;
- wherein one of the ends of the stent is covered by a sheath and a middle portion of the stent is not covered by a sheath, the stent having end portions that are self-expanding.
A stent delivery assembly comprising:
- a catheter with a balloon located at the distal end thereof;
- a stent disposed about the balloon, said stent having at least one end portion that is self-expanding;
- a sheath extending only over the self-expanding portion of the stent.
